In my daily life, I am always reminded of something Joe said in one of his sermons last summer. It was something that caught my attention and made me really think about the ways that we can be a light to the dark world we live in.

The sermon was talking about the importance of living out your faith and not being afraid to share the good news of Christ with those that we come into contact with. It was short and to the point. Nothing more needed to be said or no explanation needed to be made. It was simple. All Joe said was, “You never know, we could be the only hope that they will ever know”.

It hit me. From the conversation that I have with a coworker, to the person that pass in the grocery store, or the neighbor I greet at the mailbox… we can be that hope. The hope of Christ.

Next time you come in contact with someone, whether you like it or not, remember the example of Christ you set. More importantly, I pray that you will be a glimpse of the hope that they may have never known.

1 Peter 1:3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
